Ever wondered why CBT, and not NLP or any other form of therapy is the therapy of choice for the medical profession?
On Monday 18th February Brenda will be exploring some of the answers to those questions as well as demonstrating how NLP and CBT are not mutually exclusive.
CBT can, I have discovered engage those people who do not easily accept the less intellectual side of their personality, the people who do not like the more as they see it ‘touchy feely’ aspects of ‘counseling’. Often individuals will gain as much as they need from working within a CBT model of self help, but sometimes it can open the door to them being more responsive to other types of ‘help’ too.
So, if you are working within a setting where it might be useful to understand a little bit more of the fundamentals of CBT then I’m sure this evening will be very useful for you, or if you would like to learn some more ways to help yourself or others feel better about a situation at work that may be causing some anxiety, or a relationship with your partner or family member which you may be worried about, or maybe the winter blues have descended, and you could benefit from a little support in dealing with them. Then why not come and join us it would be lovely to see you?
During the evening, as well as exploring the current interest in CBT, you will be warmly invited to join in some of the exercises used in order to help clients or yourself identify, through self-help, how easily one can learn to be more in charge of our own emotional life.
